Cormac McCarthy’s The Road

“There is no God and we are his prophets.”

Wow. This novel blew me away. It questions the idea of God and faith while telling a story of a father and son trying to survive in a post-Apocalyptic world. Cormac McCarthy writes with beautiful imagery that makes you see, feel, smell, and hear everything that is going on in the book. I could not recommend this novel more.
