Neil Gaiman’s The Ocean at the End of the Lane
“Nobody looks like what they really are on the inside. You don’t. I don’t. People are much more complicated than that. It’s true of everybody.”
A book with imagination that leads the reader down a scary and uncertain path of adventure and mystery. I finished this book with so many questions of what really happened in this book and what was just a creation of memory. It is filled with symbolism and makes the short read have long after affects. I was able to tackle this novel in one day, so if you are looking for a thought-provoking but quick read, I give this book 4 stars out of 5.
