Tim Burton’s The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy & Other Stories
“Stick Boy liked Match Girl,
He liked her a lot,
He liked her cute figure,
He thought she was hot.
But could a flame ever burn
For a match and a stick?
It did quite literally;
he burned up pretty quick.”
I love the quirkiness that is Tim Burton, although I still refuse to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas because of the fear it caused me as a child. When I found a book of poems written by Tim Burton, I knew it was something I wanted to check out. The poems are short, funny, and usually centered around out-of-this-world birth defects.
