Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale

“Don’t let the bastards grind you down.”

There has been a lot of buzz lately about The Handmaid’s Tale, originally published in 1985. This book is a very quick read and a read that is hard to put down. I was drawn into the story, which made me feel some fear related to the politic of the United States today and how this story can mirror some of the sentiments towards women’s rights that I hear constantly on the news. This book is a must read.
