Paul Collier’s The Bottom Billion

“Change in the societies at the very bottom must come predominantly from within; we cannot impose it on them.”

I found the Bottom Billion completely relevant to the work I am doing today in regards to providing aid to Perú. The book even mentions Perú and how corruption has been rampant within the highest officials of the government. It definitely put into perspective how to best approach my work and what to expect of the outcomes, realistically.
