Paula Hawkins’ Into the Water

I was really excited to hear that Paula Hawkins was releasing a new novel this year after reading Girl on the Train. I love suspense novels like Gillian Flynn’s novels and Paula Hawkins’ stories don’t disappoint. When I started Into the Water, I felt like the style and the writing was too close to Girl on the Train and I was hoping for something equally as good but different. But then, her story took me away so that the book disappeared and all that existed was this deeply tragic story with some feminist messaging. If you enjoyed Girl on the Train, I would definitely recommend this novel. Just don’t expect anything new and exciting with the writing style.
