One of my all time favorite memories was getting to see the musical Hamilton on Broadway with my mom Easter 2016. Since coming to the Peace Corps I have figured out that I can listen to the entire soundtrack in the time it takes me to heat up water and take a bucket bath – so it has become a favorite. When I saw that the love story of Alexander Hamilton and Eliza Schuyler was being published in April 2017, I knew I wanted to add it to my “To Read” list. It was a great and detailed retelling of the trials that led up to Alexander and Eliza finally being able to come together in love. It was an entertaining read that goes into way more detail about Eliza and Alex’s story than the musical is able to. I would give it 3 out of 5 stars overall.
